Default Tips to stay focused/awake ?

I try to study 8 hours a day, but my mind wanders off a lot or I get really sleepy even though I slept well the night before. I take mini breaks and still.

i use to have the same problem all the time when i started studying ..and even sometimes now.. especially when studying very boring subjects like Genetics and pharma..
when i get sleepy i try to read out loud, sometimes i check out youtube for ppl who have watever disease i am reading about at the moment, or google a picture of a syndrome...that usually wakes me up.. if that doesnt work ..i go for 10 min walk.
i hope that helped

Form a schedule ...first and STICK TO IT

if you have decided you should be sleeping by 11 or 12 ...do that ....

if you have decided you will at 6 or 7 ...do that ....

STICK TO IT ..... and you will gradually tell your body that this is the time to wake and this is the time to sleep ....if you vary it like sometimes you are sleeping at 3 AM and sometimes at 12 ...or at 11 ...you are not doing justice to your body .... and then waking at varying times in the morning ....you will feel tired ...and that will affect your performance

I found a usmle 6 weeks schedule that someone made and it's divided by subjects/questions/review and how many hours to spend on each one per day, if you want more hours you can add them to that one which is up to 8 hrs a day.

let me know if you're interested I could gladly share it
