i think UW should be done at the end of your prep .... before 2 months of your exam .... you can do USMLE Rx or kaplan qbanks now ....

UW is the closest you can get on your exam ....so leave it to the last

Thank you for good advice. One more thing . Can UW be used to build some concepts or as a tool to tackle how to answer the questions in the steps?

In my opinion UW rather CLEARS UP concept rather building up .... that would only happen if you have thoroughly read that subject pretty cold before starting UW ....

The best way to make use of a Qbank is to make it an evaluating tool and not a learning tool
So once you are confident after the videos and FA start the Q bank
Hope that helps!

I was asking all these q's because I read in Ameerakhan step1 experience that she used UW more as a learning tool . see post 18 of that thread.
so the approach may be different but u can use uw both as concept building and concept clearing tool.

she probably implies to say that don't freak out if you score less in it .... use it as a learning tool .... it doesn't mean that you should do UW unprepared and treat it casually ...i mean not thinking hard about the answers.... in this aspect you will learn most from it
