Help Can u help me plz?

Hi.i am a house officer. i want to apply for USMLE step 1 exam. can u plz tell me How long will it take to be ready for exam? and When i have to register on ECFMG? and Can i choose the time of exam? I want to finish step 1 as soon as possible .What certificates and papers needed to apply and where to send? . plz answer me soon. Thanks alot. Bye.

You need to go to ECFMG.org and apply for your step 1.
You need to fill out the online section
It will ask you what block you want to sign up for
Each block is 3 months (jan - march as an example)
You need to send the printable form to your school
You school needs to send that to the ECFMG
You will get a number
You use that number to sign up at a prometric center in your block period


If you haven't been brushed up on your sciences in awhile, I wouldn't just go take the exam. You will need to study, probably at least 3 months.
