Question listening to kaplan videos, what to do to make study active ?

hey friends
i am listening to kaplan videos while preparing for tspe 1. but since listening is passive task,
what you guys do\did along to increase the quality of study ? read lecture notes before, during or after video lecture ?

It is always like this, i usually need to wake myself up after one or two hors of kaplan with some coffee...

I watch the video related to a topic then read the same topic in the lecture notes ,

I tried all . First reading then watching video is more retaining for me . But it is time consuming . If i watch video then read it took less time to finish . It's my personal opinion .

It's very helpful to do some questions subjectwise and topicwise. They make you think and integrate what you read. Nothing wakes you up so well than the idea that you don't know what you just read.

ya so true. i guess doing questions along, drinking coffee, taking notes along , pausing video and reading text will help. because doing passive study is a big waste of time and gives false hopes of accomplishment.
