scores tend to be initially less when you start UW .... don't be bogged down by % scored ....use UW as a learning tool ..but that doesn't mean you should be underprepared when attempting them ... i recommend atleast an initial read of FA before starting UW... annotate the important stuff on FA from UW

do pathoma with videos .... that will surely increase your performance ...takes 5-6 days to complete ...as i don't think kaplan patho is enough for the boards

Do DIT if feasible .... takes 7-10 days to complete ... reinforces FA..tend to increase Score by 10-15 points

Pathoma at this point time, do you think we can spend such time on a new material with only 30 days left??? I mean is it really worth that much time??

Does patho is the major part of the exam ??? yes ....

Does kaplan does justice in covering patho ? No ... in my opinion it lacks way much and is poorly written ...

i think doing pathoma will be the best thing you can do to yourself right now .... and you will definitely see a 10-15 points jump just by doing pathoma .... and you will see an improvement on UW ....and it only takes 5-6 days of dedicated time so you will have still much time left .... pathoma i think is the least you can do for patho for the exam

Well it seems to be very difficult to do pathoma at this stage.. but I'll try, after finishing this online qbank...
Thank you sooo much for your sincere response...

Hey Zehra! Im trying my best to take the exam before Eid, which leaves me around 6 weeks. Il be starting UWorld online in another 7 days inshallah!

I was facing a similar problem while doing Kaplan Q bank but then I started using it as a learning tool, trying to develop a though process. Remember more than just passive knowledge acquisition its the thought process which matters.

Make annotations to Uworld and read relevant topics from FA. Try to figure out the cause of your low score. If its lack of knowledge or lack of application. If its lack of knowledge then read FA properly and refer to Kaplan (ONLY WHERE NECESSARY).

Some times we read the explanation and go like " OH! I SO KNEW THAT!!" If thats the case its an application problem, hopefully be fixed by the time you end Uworld. After Uworld read FA again thoroughly paying more attention to your weak areas highlighted by UWORLD.

If its just one or two subjects you were weak at In UWORLD by the end then its good you can pay special attention to them, but if its all the subjects then I guess youl have to delay the exam.

But before making that decisiom take an NBME online once ur done revising FA after UWORlD and see where you are. Don't worry we are all in the same boat! Inshallah things will get better and we will all ace the test!

Do an NBME, check ur score. Youe exam score will be around 10 points of ur NBME.
Then plan. If u score low, then delay exam and vice versa.

I had a low score on NBME , still appeared for the exam and got a low score ultimately. or u can also do a UWSA 1 or 2, they r also pretty accurate.
Dont give exam until ur scoring 70% + on UWorld.

Yes, you should definitely post-pone. You need atleast 6 more months of study, I recommend 8 months.
Start Kaplan notes again with videos. Buy UWorld QBank for an year.
Do kaplan section wise, plan topics for each day e.g Cardia Physiology. First read cardiac physiology from kaplan notes, then see video and note important points on book. Read them once again. Then do same section questions on UWorld Qbank, if u get few wrong, repeat them. Make sure u understand all the answers and explanations on UWorld. If you want to get 230+ , ur concepts have to be crystal clear. Give lots of attension to physiology.
You need to start from basics once again ..

go on Dr zehra , i scored 39 my first block UW and a lot of 45 ..and stucked at 51 after done with half of UW ..but finished with 60 after whole UW . i was focusing on repea`ting repeating on questions of why i get wrong , and try see how to differentiate some diosease and not confuse them again , how to join them with other discipline , and make my notes on FA .
after hard work , end of day i got 256 . am not here to proud myself to u , or assure you that your score is good in UW , but what i want tell you is STAY FOCUSED , DONT LET THOSE UW SCORE DISTURB YOUR CONCENTRATION . stick and concentrate well , and know why correct answer is A while yar barin told you that is B . at the end of the day is how much did u manage to digest and assimilate UW and not about how high did you score . stay positive , and focus. is possible to nail step 1 . good luck

In the same boat

Done with Kaplan 2nd read [More like a skim through]
Did 75% of DIT...then got tired. [THOUGH I LOVED IT, time consuming, and i felt i was memorizing my way through]
Finished PATHOMA...

Now on UWORLD AND FA... Uworld questions are no joke because everytime i read the explanation i want to chock myself because this is something i should know and i have read over and over again. UGGGH.

Right now i am trying to stick with FA and Uworld[ mostly tutur mode for now]

IS THERE A LIGHT AT THE END OF THIS TUNNEL??

I heard 7, 15 are more predictable so better reserve them for the last and go with 13 or 11, isnt it?

To each is own. But those of you trying to take the exam within 30 days, should post-pone. This is not an exam you want to just get over, and move on. This exam can make you or break you. The choice is you'rs, you have already come this far. So why move the date up by a couple of months. I am in the same boat, but I moved my test date up. If you are not getting atleast 220 in any NBME or assessment exam. Don't go for it. Get back to the books and hit hard!
You can do it!

hey...
I just did goljan notes , first aid and u world, revised first aid once and the when I did nbme 5 I got 242. I guess, first aid and u world is enough. I have my exam on july 10th. I m sticking to only first aid. if possible listen to goljan and read notes once. its very easy and doable. all the best!
