Star Step1 exam - How long after graduation ?

Hi ,
I finished my graduation during 2009 jan . when I checked usmle .org site found these details --
Quote:
The USMLE program recommends to medical licensing authorities that they:
require that the dates of passing the Step 1, Step 2, and Step 3 examinations occur within a seven-year period; and
allow no more than six attempts to pass each Step or Step Component without demonstration of additional educational experience acceptable to the medical licensing authority.
Can you please tell me how long after graduation can I write usmle step 1 ?

If you are asking about tuition fee for residency, then the answer is no, you dont have to pay any kind of fee. On the contrary you get a stipend for your job as a resident.

Only the application, examination and matching process involve fee.
