Help Study plan help.

Hello to my fellow members,

I had written some time ago regarding my study plan.

I have finished

Physiology - Kaplan

Pharmacology - Kaplan

Behavioral Science - Kaplan

Immunology - Kaplan

Pathology - Goljan 3rd Edition RR

Neuroanatomy - just started recently

Microbiology - started in between but just couldn't finish it hence left it.

I intend to do my exam in the end of February.

I have USMLE Consult free subscription for 3 months and plan to take UW subscription for 2 months.

Also, i have to be out for work from up till 12 in the noon pretty much every day.

Please advice me how i should go ahead.

1) Should i just start solving Qbanks, especially starting with USMLE Consult and learn up weak subjects on the side?

2) I am hoping to finish Neuroanat, normal anat will be done again side by side while doing questions and Microbio by 15th November and then start Qbank???

3) When should i ideally start UW? Should i get Kaplan Qbank as well?

I know i am asking too many questions in one go but i really need help with this. Thanks in advance.

Default Almost same situation

I plan to take step 1 in july-august '11. So I have little more time. But I have faced also same problem.

If you like to see my study plans - go and see this thread
Many of the books I bought consist 50-500 online MCQs... they aren't really USMLE stuff (quite basic) but I think they help to memorize the key elements of the books.Questions are really important in my opinion. I would do the questions same time as you read subjects. I have bought kaplan qbook just for this reason. I can do one subject after I have finished reading it and it won't cost as much as online question bank.

I have calculated that I am finished the first time reading my books at end of december. Then I have planned to bought three time subscription for USMLE consult and simultaneously make reread of the books in january-march. Rest of the time - not yet decided, but I have watch the Kaplan home study program or kaplan lecture notes, and then USMLE world, USMLErx or Kaplan for 3 months.

As soon as i have finished the steps .

Seriously. It seems that my first schedule was bit too optimistic. I was going to do the steps during this year, but now I think that realistic estimate would be 2013.
