USMLE Books Kaplan Lecture Notes vs. First Aid

For the following subjects:
  • Anatomy/Embryo
  • Neuroscience
  • Behav Science
  • Biochemistry/Gen/CellBio
  • Micro/Immuno

Is there anything extra in Kaplan Notes that is not in First Aid 2013? For Physiology, Pathology (Pathoma) I found that those two subjects actually taught and had some stuff which was not in First Aid, thus I had to make extra notes. For Pharmacology, I found that 85-90% of material in Kaplan LN was already there in FA...if not more. So to make my studying regimen easier, can someone answer the Question?

Thank you.

Kaplan Notes are a better resource in every aspect compared to FA2013 except the time required to cover Kaplan. It covers more ground, and there is more "meat" so that your retention rate is much higher. But it is much more time consuming than the 2-3 weeks needed to cover FA.

I agree answering this is irrelevant

there is no comparison..

FA is a review book and contains mainly HIGH OR HIGHEST YIELD CONCEPTS.

if ones basics are strong. they just do FA and uworld.

and to answer your question which you have already answered. definitely all KLNs have more stuff than FA..

don't know why u want to know this..
unless you want to know which courses not to use KLN for as FA covers these areas well.

the rest you most likely will need a resource for it aside FA unless you are an AMG or student whom I read about use just 4-8 weeks to prepare for the step.

All the best.
Do not give up on a dream because of how long it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway
