Default Step 1 scoring

Hey everyone

Is it known how the Step 1 exam is scored? Like, we all hear that a 210 is OK, a 230 is good a 240 is very good and a 250 is great, but I don't understand how it is scored.

For example, how many questions on the exam am I supposed to score correctly to correspond to a 230+ ?

My cumulative performance in UWorld after doing 55 % of the questions in 72%. Is that a predictor of anything?

According to a web site on the internet, a score of 72% correlates with a score of 245 on the actual exam. I suggest you do an online NBME and see where you stand if you want to make a rough prediction.
