Ok let's start by talking about your goals and timeline.

What program do you plan on applying for? When do you want to apply?

If you plan on applying next year, that means you have roughly about 6 months for intense preparation.

If you plan on applying for the crazy competitive programs, you should target at least a 260. I'm talking about dermatology, plastic surgery, ent or even gen. surgery.

Kaplan and first aid rule the resource world for step1 and there's nothing better than uworld qbank out there.

I advice to start with kaplan videos, especially for physiology and biochemistry. Solidify your basic knowledge. Try taking notes from the videos and revise them regularly. Flip through your first aid to get a good idea of what te exam is about.

When you are done with your reading, take an nbme. This is just to assess yourself and know your weak areas. When you are done with that, start the uworld qbank.

Solve everything in uworld, don't rush it. Take notes. When you are done with uworld, take another nbme to assess your progress.

Then focus fully on your the notes you took from kaplan vids, first aid, and uworld.

Repeat an nbme.

Then repeat the uworld qbank and read your first aid as many times as possible.

This will surely take you through.
