Question Anybody knows about the new change in step 1?

Does anybody know what is the new change they did in the step 1 test?

There's a change that was to take place starting May 10th. ECFMG sent the notification, what's the change that took place in the format?

I assume you are talking about this:
"Most score reporting of Step 1 results occurs within four weeks of testing. However, because of necessary modifications to the test item pool, there will be a delay in reporting for some examinees testing beginning the week of May 13th. The target date for reporting Step 1 scores for most examinees testing the week of May 13th through late June will be Wednesday, July 10, 2013. For examinees whose circumstances require that they receive Step 1 scores before July 10, it is recommended that they take Step 1 no later than May 10, 2013."


They just modified the "test item pool". I'd say this does not really mean anything for us. The only thing that is changing is you should have taken it before May 10 if you needed your scores before July 10 - since that date is over, there is absolutely nothing that has changed for us!

He is talking about mcq pool change... Dont worry usmle slightly modify question pool every year..
