Listening Please share tips on how to avoid Passive Studying!

Today, I went through some actual active learning, by looking at my Kaplan Lecture notes (biochem right now), and then scanning over FA...and man oh man oh man...I felt exhuasted, both mentally, and physically. That's what ACTIVE learning means.

but before, when i was passive learning, i was simply browsing, and never felt the tiredness or mental exhaustion!! So i guess that's one sign - if you don't need 5 minute break for every hour of reviewing - then you're probably not actively studying, and might be wasting time.
