Question which NBME exam is best to take first?

just to see where i'm at with my prep? i've haven't taken one yet, and i think i should have before starting, just to see where i'm at.

i don't want to waste anymore time. which one should i attempt? and i assume they can be found at the nbme website?

I did all of them, but you don't have to do what I did . I used the nbme practice tests mostly as a learning tool, and I think answering 2200 nbme questions helped me prepare for step 1 quite a bit. I think nbme 15 is very representative of the new exam (although I did the find step 1 exam to be a bit harder than form 15). You should also consider doing 7 and 13. Good luck.
