Help UW and NBME scores discrepency!

Hi, guys!

I need your advise!

Over the past two months I've been getting consistently 65- 70% on UW Qbank. The correlation table says this correlates to the score 240ish.

So, I took an NBME form 11 two days ago, and my result was -390, that is only 196!!!. I also noticed that I answered incorrectly 60 questions out of 200 (again about 70 % of answers were correct).

I am confused how come UW Qbank predicts 240, and my score on NBME is only 196. Has anybody had such a dicrepency, which score should I trust?

NBME 11 is the most difficult form after nbme 15,so don't be too hard on yourself. What are you averaging in Usmleworld qbank?? What are your study materials and how long have you been studying??

Leeby, thank you so much for your reply and support! I'm a very old IMG (2001). I've been preparing for the exam for almost a year. My study materials are FA, Kaplan notes and lectures, UW Qbank. My average score in UW qbank is 69%.

Thank you, aman_j! I'll keep on doing my best!!! 70% of correct answers and such a low score seemed confusing to me, but now I see that 70% is not simply enough.

NBME 11 is not very predictive. Out of the NBME's, NBME 4 is the most predictive and is like the actual exam. Your U world average is good. Just try to improve.

Oh sorry I made a mistake. I was refering to NBME 7. Thats most predictive for step 1. And NMBE 4 is most predictive for CK. Im just after CK and I got confused.
