Unhappy Should I buy another UWorld Qbank?

Hy guys,
I'm preparing step1 since last year and now I have only 2 months left (free from working). I studied a lot during the first period of my preparation but later I have had few available time because of residency in my country. I read Kaplan LN 2 times but many months have passed since the last reading.
Now I'm trying to review all material, including Kaplan...but it's very difficult to review everything. I studied FA too, adding a lot of notes on it (as many as I can from books and qbanks)....I did usmleworld (2 qbanks because the former expired after 3 months). I completed the second one in February 2013 but I recognized that some questions (maybe not all) were similar to the questions contained in the first qbank.
However I scored above 75% in the second one, using always unused question mode. After February I took a pause and I restarted to study in April and may according to my little free time. In June I bought Kaplan qbank. I completed 54% questions scoring overall 70% (unused questions of course).
Should I buy another usmleworld qbank or it's enough if I complete Kaplan qbank and I take NBMEs?
Everyone says that usmleworld is better.... 2 months are sufficient to take my step1 and pass it with a good score?
Any advices to improve my preparation?
I have the impression that I have forgotten a lot of things...
PS: sorry for my bad English

Your English is good. You must now concentrate on U world and First aid only. Getting 75% on the second round of U world may not be enough. Therefore you have to do U World again. Read both the correct and incorrect answers and explanations. Do an NBME and see where you stand.

Thanks for your answer... But I didn't do a second round of usmleworld....I did a new subscription the second time, as buying another usmleworld qbank..and for this reason I don't know if consider this 75% enough or not...Most of question were different maybe, I had not memory of the first qbank questions...this is the problem...Now I'm doing kaplan qbank scoring 70% in avarage. Do you think that I should switch to usmleworld qbank, buying another one again?

Yes, exactly, without doing a second round (only a round in both the first and the second UWqbanks). First qbank usmle world finished in september 2012, second qbank (new subscription, not renewal) started in january 2013 and ended in march 2013. In this last one I scored 75% overall (unused, all subjects, timed). Now I don't know if it's better doing another usmleworld qbank (new subscription again) or concentrate on kaplan qbank which is still active and in which I'm scoring only 70% in avarage (only 54% of questions done)and FA of course . A lot of money wasted....

You did your first U World a long time ago so its impossible to remember the concepts. That's why you got only 75%. Therefore I suggest you redo the U World q bank. When you redo it expect to get around 85-90% correct. Kaplan is low yield. Dont do it. Spend your effort on U World and First Aid. Then do an NBME to see where you stand.

hey guys , i have 39 days left for my exam .. my only source of material i've used if fa and uworld ...i'm on my third round of uworld .. ( frst round i did it last year , overall scored around 52% and second time i did beginin/mid of this year , overall scored around between 70 and 735 ) ...

currently i've being doin only blocks ( scoring in the 80 so far ) and reading fa but i feel the blocks are not so productive because i already sorta know the answers to question ( i recognize them ) .. so not sure if doin the blocks is time well spent .. i dont know wht to do . i did nbme 11 end of june and scored 350 ...

Just knowing the answer to a U World question is not enough. You have to read the explanation of the correct and incorrect answers. Reread first aid and keep on doing U world. May be you should do another NBME. If it is still low, may be you may try Dr Najeebs lectures. But it will take you around 4 months to complete.

Around 70%, but I used to do questions in the wrong mode, most often mixed or of only a subject, scoring around 80%....When I switched to the unused questions of all subjects I scored around only 60-65%. I didn't see important improvements in my preparation....

Try to do an online NBME and see if you are ready. I don't think its possible to predict your score from the U world q bank in your case. If the NBME is not good, then you may try to complete the Kaplan qbank. But don't depend on it as it is not high yield.

Remember, stick to U world and First aid.

Good Luck!!

U did a new subscription..does it mean a whole set of new questions in the Qbank??

MBME 7 is the most predictable of the NBMEs. Congratulations.
