Kaplan Medical Kaplan Qbank pharmacology questions Ridiculously Tough!

I'm finding Kaplan Qbank pharm questions Ridiculously Tough!

I'm guessing that is a bad sign? I'm doing subject wise right now, on untimed, tutor mode. i seriously hope uworld is not that bad.

i need some advice!

on one hand, i still want to go through all the topics, before doing uworld, so i can use it on untimed, random mode.

but on the other hand, kaplan qbank seems to be holding me back!!! what should i do at this point?

Stick with the kaplan qbank? i origonally had planned to just do BIOCHEM, PHARM, PHYSI/PATHOPHYS, and MICRO/IMMUNO with Kaplan Qbank, and then finish up all my reading, and then finish up with the uworld on random, timed (with FA)

and then do a final NBME.

please advise! i feel as though i'm hitting another dead end here!!!

Uworld pharma is excellent... Not only do ask good questions they also help to remember imp side effects through the Q stem

thanks, this is great to know!

right now, i decided to just quickly finish the kaplan Pharm, Micro/Immuno, and Biochemistry Sections (with Molec and Genetics).

Rest I'll just do from uworld on random times, when i'm caught up with Phys, Path, Anatomy, and Behavioral.

I recently took the exam (results coming in Wednesday) and from talking with classmates I had a lot of pharm and micro. However, the general consensus seemed to be that the micro questions were fairly straightforward. For pharm, definitely go outside of FA as there are lots of drugs presented in UW problems and a set of flashcards that I used that helped me get a lot of questions correct that FA did not have. FA is way too general with pharm, but UW and Kaplan should be sufficient. After time (at least for me) it just started to click, same with micro, but I was struggling really bad at first, so just stick with it and really read the answers repeatedly until you understand all of the answer choices.

Mechanism seems to be a bigger theme as of now and mechanisms of microbial resistance also seem to be a big part of many pharm questions, so if nothing else make sure you know those.

I got a high score in pharm on my exam mostly because I answered both uworld and kaplan qbank questions(along with studying from FA). I got a few pharmacokinetics questions in my exam that were quite similar to the ones I answered in Kaplan qbank.

My advice is:answer all kaplan pharm questions, even the low-yield ones.
