Default Is internship after mbbs mandatory??

Iam from india and i want to know if internship i.e housie...mandatory or we can skip it and go for matching and get into residency?? Can i join residency in USA just after 4 n half year mbbs study and no internship?? Please help

Are you serious? Which university in india is going to give you a degree without internship... Without the degree u cant get ecfmg certified...

I know dis sounds funny... but my senior got married lastyr and she is doing her clinical rotations now at WV....

Even better for you... Get in touch with her... Fyi clinical rotations are done in 3rd and 4 th yr by AMGs so unless u wanna repeat 2 yrs its better to finish the internship and go

If I finish my rotation in my final college years and got my degree, can apply for matching or need to work in a hospital in my country first (senior house officer)????

to answer the above question,
NO.
U only need your Medical diploma and your ECFMG certificate
to apply for residency. You dont have to do internship
in your country unless it is a requirement for your
degree to be given!!
