NBME 15 is very representative of actual exam as exam nowadays are more like NBME 15. If you have done well in nbme 15 then it's a good news for you. As far as overprediction is concerned a single nbme should not be used to predict real exam score. you should take 3-4 latest nbmes and if you score equally good in all then your real score may be closer to the nbme average. Hope this helps.

Depends on how much time you have till your test since you have the "force" with you.
Take the test if you are already scheduled within as week, otherwise take NBME13 to be sure.

Amazing score. 3rd highest score I've seen from somebody about NBME 15. Did you find this exam difficult? I thought it was a bit tricky in some questions...like the botulinum vignette. Classic presentation of botulinum poisoning, but then the question asks you think it's an inhibitory neurotransmitter that's causing the problems - what is it? Wanted to choose Glycine, but because of the presentation still chose Ach.

I thought you want to give 2-PAM before Atropine, to prevent the process of "aging" - well I guess I was wrong on that, too.

yes glycine in an inhibitory NT but never heard that glycine has to do with its Mechanism of action so I guess ur answer is right, a decrease Ach is the cause of the manifestation
how was the exam ?? U were so tense dude

I didn't take my exam again. I'm in deep trouble I think with my school. I was instructed to take exam by end of this month, but no dates available until August 1st. Dean wants my scores by end of August.

Just feel I don't care if I get kicked out of school, just want a 240 on my exam. Feel stupid since I have been studying close to a year now. All of this could have been prevented if I had read first aid through my school year and preparation, early on.

I am very happy with my score I have the guts now. And thanks for your support
If you adk me I think there are many tricky and WTF questions in the form But ironically for me I managed to answer these questions correctly and messed up the stupid straight forward questions lol like the question which asked about endogenous chemotactic molecule which was C5a but I somehow picked formylated peptide looool. In the brain photo asking about Werneicke's are I made the wrong answer. Also I made some lucky guesses like the question asking about IL-1 to IL-6 NF-kB pathway lol I was simply laughing what the hell are you talking about ?? But I managed to pick the correct answer.
So I think NBMEs depend on luck and concentration because the curve is somehow weird. I mean if I managed to get all the stupid mistakes correctly then I would have scored 275. On the other hand if I made some other mistakes which was really possible I would have scored lower.
So in the end I would say it is not the end of the world if someone got a low score in one form

Yeah, I also got that Wernike's question wrong. Sometimes those brain images are slightly off or at an angle, and makes you choose the wrong answer choice - hate that. This also happened in another form.

Btw, what was the answer for the NF-kb I thought as a nuclear transcription factor, that answer was E, but guess not. Do you remember or know where I can find the correct answers to NBME 15?

I answered that ikB when phosphorylated releases the factor. It was correct.
I don't know exactly where to find the correct answers. Many people post the questions on Facebook pages and the members discuss the questions

Goodness a 259, that's just mind-blowing. Ive got no doubts that you'll break a 270, especially since you're saying the mistakes you made are silly mistakes.

I wonder if you'd get a perfect score on NBME 11 and 12, which are pretty simple.

What did you use to prepare for the biostats?

I-kb stands for inhibitor of kappa b- when its phosphorylated it gets ubiquinated and dissociates from nfkb and goes to the protesome to get degraded and nfkb is free for action wiki can teach u a lot

You should definitly be happy with your score. But I think you shouldn't think- if I wouldn't make stupid mistakes, I would've get 275. Because you will certainly make them, and all of us, on the real exam.
All the best. You will certainly ace the exam!

Thanks thanks I hope so man
For biostat, I did FA only because I am already done with CK. The USMLE world or CK was perfect for biostatistics and the questions in step 1 are very similar so I suggest preparing from UW CK qbnak.

Yeaah you are absolutely right man ! That's why I said I could have done worse if I made other mistakes.
I am really happy with my score and I hope to get a similar one in the real
