Help 26 days left, SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!?

NBME form 7 (3 weeks ago): 214

UWSA 1 (2 weeks ago): 252

NBME form 11 (3 days ago): 238

Have finished 2 Read throughs of FA, on my 3rd. Finished all of Uworld q bank, 1/4 through my 2nd revision (getting about 90% correct). Exam is in 26 days. AHHHHHH

Any suggestions/hints/tips/mistakes to avoid would be GREATLY appreciated. My plan was to get through two more revisions of FA and finish my Uworld questions. I am open to anything you guys might suggest. Thanks!!! Can't believe its so close, I'm so tired of studying!

PS my goal is 250 or higher

Should I do UWSA? and time permitting, I will do all NBMEs, But if I don't have enough time how would you rank NBME (minus 7 and 11 which i already took) and UWSA2 in order of importance?

Keep revising FA. UWSA is overestimating in most cases. I advise you to take another NBME before the exam. I found UWSA 1 more difficult than NBME 15 and UWSA 2. My exam is on 14th of August

Thanks man, good luck! And really? I thought UWSA 1 was quite easy compared to either NBME I have taken (atleast the grading) How many NBMEs did you take and how many total do you recommend taking if I have just 26 days left?

Also, how do you guys feel about the importance of going through my Uworld questions a second time?

Actually yes I found UWSA more difficult than UW qbnak and UWSA 2 and NBME 15. I did only 1 NBME which was 15. In the last 13 days I have I am going to revise FA and to read the explanations of UWSA1 & 2 (planning to read only the wrong and marked qs because of lack of time!).
I am planning to re-do only wrong and marked qs in UW qbank, I don't think it is important to re-do all the questions.
I was planning to do another NBME but since my scores in NBME 15 & UWSA were very high I am not going to do anything more

lol, I want to see how you'd do on NBME 11, 12, or 13 just for the sake of it. I'd put $20 that you'd break a 275 on it, haha.

Ayman, I'm having a hard time memorizing FA. I'm slowly and surely forgetting the old stuff I've read. I'm using active measure in trying to keep it fresh, but it isn't working. any suggestions?

Honestly dude, just look at my scores, UWSA 1 is known to over predict by around 15 points. There is no way that I forgot lots of things and my score ACTUALLY went down in between UWSA1 and my NBME 11. If you subtract 15 from my UWSA 1, my score comes to around 237, and if you subtract 20, it comes to 232, much closer to my NBME 11 which I took one week later, with one full revision of FA, and got a 238. I'd say that looks pretty accurate. However, NBME also is said to underpredict by a few points, so with that I'd say overall the UWSA 1 over predicts by about 10-15 easily. I have heard UWSA2 has less of a margin

Hey guys, quick update. I took UWSA2 and got something like a 252 or something. It was a difficult test, but as usual the curve is friendly. I heard from one of my friends who already took step 1 and they said that their actual score was about 6 points above their UWSA2. Given there was a decent gap in between, I would say UWSA2 has a very narrow margin say +/- 5 points. The style of the question is one in which you need to think hard and apply knowledge as opposed to NBME where they are a little more straight forward and the curve kills you.

I took NBME form 15 recently, I made some stupid mistakes and got a little careless when it came to answering some of the easier questions and I also missed some of the more difficult "wtf" type questions. I got a 233 (550) in that. I hope it is under estimating a bit as I hear it is a pretty hard form. My classmate also took that form and her actual score was about 14 points above NBME 15 (NBME 242 Real score 256)

I hope I am on track and that I won't make dumb/careless mistakes on my real exam. It is on Wednesday :/

Hope this info helps! Good luck to u guys!

I had about 8-9 days in between NBME 11 and UWSA2. 1-2 days off, and the rest of the time, about one week just exclusively First Aid (my 3 rd pass front to back). In retrospect, I would have liked to have done some questions from Uworld because I feel like 1 week without questions breaks your habit of doing questions and when all of a sudden you are required to think instead of just recall, it is quite the shock. But I think the most important thing is become familiar with FA and if you are missing questions because of lack of knowledge, you might need to work on your foundation via pathoma or brs. But otherwise FA plus Uworld have been my lifeblood.

Thanks for the confidence, I literally have 24 hours till the test. I got bummed out because of my low NBME 15 score, raw score went down 20 points (from 570 to 550) I hope it was just a hard NBME and that the curve is less forgiving. I hope I don't make stupid mistakes tomorrow. I realized that my knowledge base is there....and that I am my only enemy during the test. Hopefully my mind won't fail me/over think/under think tomorrow. Either way, I'm done studying, can't do another more day. Good luck guys. I'll post my experience when I recover.
