It is a personal choice between kaplanqbank and Rx. But if I were you I would not touch kaplan qbank now. would quickly go through rx and concenterate on uworld and FA, Since Rx is a FA revision It would help rataining fa better.

Thanks dr albert but i have another question. I have never done kaplan qbank before. So if i will leave it then wont it affect my score and since usmle rx is just to cover first aid which i can learn from first aid book then would you suggest doing kaplan q bank in this case????

Yes that's true.If you have done FA very well then you can skip rx . But rx will tell you how the questions can be asked from FA?
kaplan is good for micro, molecular bio and biostat. Rest as I said is personal choice both are good and more questions you do the better but it depends how much time you can spare. If time is one your side do both. If you are pressed for time then usmleRX>>>> kaplanQbank.

I purchased the 'Triple Play'

USMLE-RX QBank is solid - The explanations and quality of questions are just as good as with Kaplan. There's FA page references in the explanations, but the questions do go well beyond the realm of First Aid. (i'm subscribed to all 3) U-World, undoubtedly the best, but if you had to pick between RX and Kaplan, it's difficult to say one is better than the other - for questions banks as learning tools.

USMLE Rx Flash Facts --You can zoom through the 10,000+ cards in 8 hours and you should know everything, but the flash facts is so basic, it's insulting. Questions like 'What is Cranial Nerve V called?'

USMLE Rx video - quite possibly the worst video lecture series in this day and age. The video series is essentially some stuttering ivy league medical students reading First Aid verbatim, rarely anything beyond that. Basically resume builders for those students and some big name university students to add to USMLE-RX's about/authors list.

Further about the Rx video series, the one section of First Aid I would say be great video to complement to the book is the the 'Classical Presentations' section which would be fantastic if they expanded upon with video and images - but they just completely omit that, just completely useless is all I can say.

So that means its better to do rx qbank alone not the flashfacts & for the rx video lectures i agree they are not worth watching more than once lets say, if you already bought them!

The QBank stands alone in terms of quality. I seriously doubt the same staff that write the questions and explanations have anything to do with are the makers of the other two products.

---------------------

Basically Facts and Rx videos are products purely meant to help memorize First Aid the book (not expand upon any of the content let alone add more content).

Read through people's the long list of USMLE prep experiences, see if anyone had favorable reviews for Rx videos or Flash Facts - in my opinion, they're a waste of time, I watched maybe 5 videos throughout the library - and i don't plan to watch anymore. Flash Facts are a waste as well in my opinion, though I did go through them all over two days - it's easy to run though, but just too easy.
