hmm hard decission, but if you fail or get a low score this wont help you at all... why would you loose a year?

 

If I dont take it by sept 4th, I have to take a "Leave of Absence" which looks really bad on residency. and I wont make the 2015 graduation date.
thats why Im so torn.

 

Extend without any doubt.. You won't regret that one year but you will regret the low score that you will get.. 182 is not even a pass.. Give yourself some more time at least 2-3 months to improve your score into the average range

NBME for step 1 are very predictable..dont trust UWSA..whatever you score in your NBME your actual score will be +/- 10 points..so if you get 182 in NBME thats a big no for the exam..even if you are just thinking of passing you should be getting atleast 200 + in your NBME..not to say a low pass is useless..one year drop or leave of absence means nothing in front of step 1 score so never compromise with that..
