Help Scheduling Step 1 and Q-bank doubts...

Hey, I got 2 questions...

1)I'm planning on giving step 1 in december and am applying for electives in Jan,Feb... I'll be applying for Dec-Jan-Feb as the eligibility period... I plan on giving the step 1 in Mumbai prior to my departure for electives... But I was just wondering if by chance I have to postpone my exam to Jan/Feb..can I change my exam centre to a centre in the US ?? Or is that not possible ?? I read the ecfmg booklet ..i doubt i could change the testing location..... I want to book my slot without being too late as well but keeping in mind the above...

2) When do I join U-world ? I'm like a month into my prep and I hope to invest 3 months more into my prep... When should I Ideally join UW ? I'm doing my first read of kaplan now...Should I join after my first read of kaplan ? Or should I do it now ?? I hope to solve Kaplan's Qbook and Pre-tests(or BRS) as well. So could you guide me to what would be the right order to do these Q-books....
To help you out..this is my study plan...( Kaplan+Goljan then FA ).. i want to solve questions asap...which resource do I start..UW or someother and progress to UW ??

Thanks,
Faisal K.

As per your first Quest. I am not sure if that is possible but would advice you to call Ecfmg for guidance.I've had few problems during my application process and this is what I did...So call them ..they're really helpfull.

And about Qbanks...I am almost in a similliar situation as i started prep in late july and plan to appear for exam in final week of DEC. ...what I am doing is Kaplan videos +FA.. n integrating the two..all this for 3 months i.e upto 1st week of Oct. and then Will go for Uworld over next 2 months along with reviewing FA +goljan Audios. Uworld is undoubtably the best but if u want to add another Qbank than FA Qmax is also a good choice as that helps u memorize FA better.

for now stress upon basic concepts n may be do the mcqs tht are after each chapter in kaplan lecture notes....... first half of your prep is to understand concepts n may be some memorization n then second half of your prep should be to apply those concept by doing mcqs...
