Lungs Pathophysiology of Pulmonary Edema

Hey People!

I don't understand why my answer is incorrect can someone please explain in normal terms why the correct answer is correct?

A 10 year old boy is admitted to the hospital because of a full-thickness burn over 40% of his body surface area. Three days later he develops sepsis. Blood cultures grow Psudomonas aerguinosa. Despite aggressive intravenous antibiotics, the boy becomes hypotensive and develops respiratory distress. Chest x-ray shows bilateral diffuse pulmonary edema. A swan-ganz shows normal pulmonary artery and pulmonary wedge pressures. An increase in which of the following is the most likely cause of the boy's pulmonary edema?

A- Intersitial Colloid Osmotic Pressure.
B- Interstiial Hydrostatic Pressure
C- Lymph Flow
D- Microvascular Hydrostatic Pressure
E- Microvascular Permeability.

I thought it would be A.

He Has Sepsis...Infection. so bacterial toxins/inflammatory rxn will cause increase in permeability

For Intersitial Colloid Osmotic Pressure it would be something like lymph flow obstruction, there fore increase in proteins. Which would cause NON-Pitting edema

He has Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Which causes alveolar damage and increase permeability. ARDS

I thought it would be A.
