Question These NBMEs are really weird

Why do I feel like UWorld questions and Kaplan Qbank questions are easier than these NBME questions. I mean seriously the way they ask these NBME questions are so tricky and poorly written. Why is this? For real some of these questions, people reference the answers to wikipedia not even first aid or uworld

Default I second that

I have a similar query. "Some" questions ARE poorly written. Redundant at best. It's like if these were written more accurately, the answer would have made much more sense. UWorld on the other hand has absolutely spot-on, well-crafted question stems. Not one bit of redundancy. I just hope the real thing is fine. But it's just with some questions, 90% of the questions are fine. Maybe someone who has actually taken a test throw some comparison between NBME and the real deal..

I agree with you. When i went through the NBME answers after taking it, i couldn't even use logic to answer the questions. No "ahaa" moment like what happens on uworld. I even google some of the questions and still can't find a viable answer to some NBME questions. So yeah i would like to know how Step 1 is written also. If it is exactly like NBMEs then its a battle. If its like Uworld then it is much doable to reason through.

Real exam felt somehow like nbmes ...
Any way nbmes are very accurate in estimating your real score. Dont be fooled by uwsa scores. They are way overestimating
