Biochemistry Lactose accumulation

How can we differentiate that accumulation of lactose is due to BETA GLYCOSIDASE or GAL 1P URIDYLTRANSFERASE ?
UW gives same symptoms..

I think your are talking about the deficiency of Beta galactosidase...which is actually Lactase.
