Biochemistry Kaplan or Lippincott for biochemistry

I have asked a similar question but now I face the dilemma!

No matter what, I read First aid but I am between reading lippincott's biochemistry( only chapters associated with first aid material) or watch kaplan lectures once and read first aid.

please share your experience!

thank you!

Kaplan's Biochemistry is probably the best from the course - both the notes and the videos. Very well written, precise and detailed. I've read Lippincott's during my college days. It's a wonderful book if you're reading the subject for the first time or are very weak in your basics. But it's too detailed for USMLE prep. You'll probably get lost right now. My money for you will be on Kaplan. There's hardly anything they could probably ask in the Step which that book doesn't explain. (Minor exceptions like Hurler's and Hunter's syndromes which they've missed but you shall cover it in First Aid.)
