Unhappy STUCK!!! advice??

Am doing my first read of kaplan along with videos.. i have finished biochem, micro, immuno, path and doing physio now (completed like 40%).. and its going in a snail's pace!!
i really like to start doing uworld!!! thinking of gving exam in Dec 13....
Is it doable.. is it ok if i start uworld n cover physio n anatomy n bs side by side
Any suggestion is appreciated!!! Thanks in advance..

Yes! It is very beneficial to do questions along with your actual video lectures. As you move through each discipline, perform those questions as full blocks in timed mode, this will help you re-enforce the material you're learning, teach you how to apply it to questions, and help improve your stamina for the actual exam. This is a well-rounded approach and it will also help to break the monotony of just watching videos all day long.

Thanks Dr.Paul!! Do u think i can manage to give step 1 exam by Dec 3rd week?? Am really worried .. i am fast reader n grasp concepts quickly.. planning to do uworld along with anatomy n bs n review fa in Oct n Nov . Then do NBME in dec 1st and 2nd week! Is this doable?? would appreciate sincere reply!!

Hello again,

Your plan and timeframe sounds reasonable, I would suggest taking your NBME a bit earlier just to see if you have any weaknesses you need to work on still. It would be dangerous to take the NBME a week before your test date and then realize you have a few areas that need improving, only to realize you have run out of time. Try taking an NBME in perhaps mid-Nov, that way you have enough time in case some extra attention in needed across a couple of disciplines.

Aside from that, I think you are on the right track.
