Question Normal saline decrease osmolality. How?

1 How insulin cuz hypokalemia.

2 Normal saline infusion in DKA should cause increase osmololity (because of increase SODIUM) BUT uworld says it decrease osmolality..

insulin move k from ECS To ICS so k will dec in the plasma lead to hypokalemia . remmber insulin k inside the cell

about the 2nd qs what i know that 1/2 normal saline is hypotonic so it will dec the Osm , in the Q they say 1/2NS Or what .
