If you have a low attention span, or get bored studying long hours like myself. You might wanna consider the Pomodoro Study Technique. It consists of studying in that sequence:

25 minutes => 3 to 5 minutes break => 25 minutes => 3 to 5 minutes break => 25minutes => 3 to 5 minutes break => 25 minutes => 15 to 30 minutes long break.
It is beleive that taking frequent break increases brain agility and reduce impact of internal and external interruptions on focus.

If you would like to try it, I recommend downloading a free Desktop Timer.
For instance,
For PC : Focus Booster, Pomodairo, Tomighty.
For Mac: Tadam, Pomodorable.

At end, the goal is to maximize your focus time, in order to increase your productivity and efficiency in regards to your preparation.
