It seems that everybody in this website and also in other forums is recommending Kaplan and First Aid.
Is that enough for Step 1? I need to get 99 because am looking for a competitive branch. Any help will be appreciated. |

At the time am posting this reply, seven out of eight voted for Kaplan + First Aid as an appropriate method to prepare for step 1.
Go ahead and read this thread it can help http://www.usmle-forums.com/usmle-st...lan-books.html |

I read only Kaplan (did not even open FA)
Did Kaplan Qbank (1500 out of the 2000 question) Did UW Qbank (all questions twice) I got 236/98 so go ahead my friend read only Kaplan and if you add FA it will be great but don't let it confuse your Kaplan knowledge because sometimes they conflict in some small details. |

Yes I agree. Because what I feel is that, what's the point of worrying that the information is insufficient when we still have not yet even master the core points? First Aid/Kaplan gives the core points. Once we have the core, we can then start to build buildings on our core, like adding more information to it from Qbanks or extra texts. But first, get the core, then only worry about the rest.
