in the real exam, i mean.

I was under this impression too, but recently i read somewhere that it seems, how you answer each individual question doesn't matter; but what matters is how you compare against all other exam takers who had the same set of 7 blocks in their exam (within the past 12 months)

Thus a mean percentile is calculated and then how many S.D above this your performance was is calculated -> and then finally your score!

Does this make sense?

You're probably right. But this information helps in no way. The fundamental principle still stands - trying to answer maximum questions correctly. And there is obviously no negatives in answering wrong so attempt every question. (I'm sure you already know that. )

Don't sweat it mate. We all make mistakes. And tell you what, beating your self up would probably a good idea. Practice to make minimum "accidental errors" as a part of your preparation. But some degree of it is simply beyond our control.

Good luck.
