Default NBME progress

So Ive taken form 6,7 and 12. I was wondering how forms 13 and 15 were in comparison.

I will be doing nbme 6 +7 in a few days, ut nbme 13+15 especially 15* are very close to the actual exam as many recent test takers have expressed this.

Im leaving 13+15 when there 2-3 weeks left for my actual exam....fellow students who wrote the exam said it was within 10 points of their actual exam score.

did they feel like there was a huge difference between 13 and 15 as compared to 7/12. I felt like FA and uworld was more than sufficient for those two

mm I have a question

My marks on Uworld are above average most of the time but I did NBME 13 and I got 213

I was shocked from that, and started to memorize everything in first aid and until now I'm anxious about my exam which is after 3 weeks

Are the nbmes exactly like the real step or harder ??

and how come my marks are above average in 10 points in Uworld and my score in NBME 13 is really bad

Take form 15 and see. Have you been going over your incorrect answers

yes I looked for my incorrect answers in NBME and most of them were due to memorization issues

and when I was studying I was depending on understanding more

which I noticed from Uworld questions most of them depend on understanding and analyzing ( for example to get to a specific diagnosis or to chose a suitable treatment of the case or to understand the mechanism of some physiologic principle )

In NBME 13 that wasn't the case I noticed a lot of my mistakes depend on knowing stuff; and the choices sometimes they don't relate to each other and doesn't have any explanation behind them ... so some times this will get me confused on what did they mean or what do they want to ask about

SO step 1 is it like NBME or Uworld more ??

Now I'm confused should I spend my time memorizing first aid or should I spend it doing more questions and study my incorrect answers in Uworld

you absolutely have to know FA at the back of your hand. A portion of the questions will be straight recall. Even if you miss a phrase there is a chance you could get something wrong. Do it as many times as you can
