USMLE Scores Step1: 248

Got my scores today, exactly at 3rd Wednesday... I want to ask one question to my fellow friends,
Is 248 enough to apply all Hospitals/Univ for Int Medicine residency??..( keeping the consistency)?

I basically will write very shortly.. I prepared 8 months.. Did four readings of kaplan.. I suggest both to do goljan and sattar both.. U world is a great tool.. Use this as reading tool and master all concepts from this.. I dont suggest going kaptest, instead revise u world.. For physio, i think BRS is a must.. I will really help.. Regarding behav( i felt tough then rest of subjects in step1).. If time permits go through BRS... And study First Aid 2013 during last period.. Do one nbme online( i recommend 15).. And lastly, keep faith in god

Ya mine behav was a little tough.. Concepts like absolute risk increase , transferance/ countertransferance and some concepts were asked beyond kaplan so if possible cover uncovered topics from BRS.. Genetics was okay ksplan enough.. Molecular bio.. Was not hard as expected.. Kaplan and FA enough( if have worked in UW)..

hmmn i'll have to look up absolute risk increase. I have High Yield Behavioral science, so ill check it out in that. Transferance/countertransferance is covered in FA i believe. Thats good news about Genetics and Molecular bio; those two subjects are my toughest, especially genetics problems when they get lengthy.

Hi Janakpriya Congratulations!!!

I am revising my UW and how did you do goljan and pathoma ? its taking a lot of time for me to cover those both and burning me out.

I did UW system wise and how did you revise UW after 1st go? I am atleast trying to redo incorrect ones in my 2 nd go and feel there is a lot to read in UW. please suggest me how to do it quick and get more out of it.

I suggest doing both.. First time takes time.. then the more you revise your speed gears up..I beleive you have made notes in your Kaplan/FA, .. second revision of UW is the wrong ones. and i quickly went through notes someone posted in www.quitzlet.com. Whole UW again would take time.. so I did this way and covered most of the concepts i guess. Pathoma is very precise ( the way he explains ).. so it will prove helpful.. coz mine Pathology were " conceptual" types not merely facts..

hello Janakpriya!
Those quitzlet notes are looking awesome and high yield!
can we rely on that? I mean, is it ok if we do not make notes from uw? just solving uw and going throgh those quizlet notes in last month??? does it cover every important things from uw thats not in FA?

I personally do not recommend that. Make notes of UW on Kaplan/FA yourself.. If is just one guy's notes. So, what you feel is important may not be of much important fot" that guy" who made notes.
In a nutshell, use as a subordinate tool only.It is reliable. ya its accurate.

here is another one:

Here is one i like the most:
