Biochemistry Urea Cycle Defect

Impaired transport of ornithine from cytosol to mitochondria..restriction of which substance is necessary..

1) fats
2) proteins
3) purines

Ans is proteins BUT why not purines???

take a look at how aminoacids look like, they are either COOH or NH3...
