Psyche Playing Basketball to control his Rage

Got this question in one of the nbme/uwsa..

A teenage boy feels rage when he remembers being abused by his foster father, he plays basketball to control this rage...what is the defence mechanisms here?

its acting out. he redirects his rage towards playing basketball. in sublimation u do some unacceptable action in an acceptable manner.
