The real exam had a lot of CTs, x rays and pictures. A lot more then what I expected. More then half questions in each block had long stems, like uworld etc, NBME 15 was also very much like that but i had i different kind of feeling in the real exam. I felt I screwed up my exam compared to what i felt in NBME 15 but I ended up with 1 point higher then my NBME 15 prediction.

Default My exam was yesterday

I just took my exam yesterday ,, excuse me for not being able to share any of its contents due to the exam regulations ,, but all i can say is that the questions stem was longer than that of UW and NBME ,, It reminded me of that type of long questions stem in my CK exam.

The questions were really really tough and they were never straight forward as for my NBME (I did 5 NBME online and one offline)

I had a problem in time management and was about to miss 2 questions in my 2nd block ,,

Genetics was heavily tested but I have never seen such questions in UW or NBME ,, I think if you have basic research experience, you can manage.

Finally I think I did my part of the job and will accept my results whatever they are.

I had the exact similar experience in my exam as you had but i ended up with a good score. So i think you shouldn't worry. If you have given any NBMEs you will have your score very similar to that hopefully

Thank you for the responses.

My exam is Friday (exactly two days) and I am completely freaking out now... I am so worried I am going to do bad.. I only did generics in UW and FA..actually I pretty much only did that except pathoma for path and I did a bit of Kaplan like months ago (but I don't really renember a lot of it)...

Ughhh just praying I do well enough that I have a standing chance in 2016 match because I need a visa.. Otherwise I don't know.

Hey best of luck for your exam , You used good study material so i am sure you are going to do great. I am sorry i cant share any Questions tested in exam due to exam rules and regulations as previously mentioned. But i can assure you that if you've used this study material of yours properly and scored good in NBME 15 you will do great in exam

Thank you!

I wasn't asking for specific questions, just the general feel for the sections that people said were difficult like anatomy and cell bio.. But there's nothing I can do about that now.

I didnt score well on nbme 15 (221 last week) and 226 on nbme 13 thr week before... I did really bad on neuro like left side of borderline on nbme 15 and across borderline in resp in both..so I'm hoping because I re-did those two, it will improve my score. I just don't really understand resp physio, even though I've read BRS and Kaplan on the topic..

I've just kept postponing because I'm utterly terrified and I can't postpone any longer without actually taking a huge break because I'm fried.

I just want high enough so that I can continue my clinical years knowing I at least have a shot at residency... considering I need a visa and will be applying in the 2016 match.

I would be THRILLED for a 230!!! Right now I'm petrified that my nerves may get the best of me and I'll get even less than my NBMEs predict.

Look dear if I'm going to give you 1 single advice, let it be FOCUS in your exam. after the 4th block you will feel tired and you will lose you concentration. Just try to resist that feeling.

@sky_blue2000

Go in the exam knowing that you can do it! No more time left on thinking about our weak subjects. We just need to make educated guesses on those and move on. My exam is a day after yours and I am telling myself the same thing.

Good luck-

Default Educated Guessing

Violet said something important here '' Educated Guessing'' ,, believe me it will help you a lot , specially that you will see parameters and terms that you hear about for the first time in your exam, so be prepared that you will need to guess and that this is going to be NORMAL.

Thank you for the encouragement you guys!

It really helps...

just one question, should I go over NBME 7, 12, 13 quickly?? At least the questions I had difficulty with?

People say you see repeats all the time... that was the only reason I was thinking of it..because I found some questions in 7 and 12 VERY hard..

Look dear to be honest with you , NBME didn't help much in my situation. By the way there are 7 forms with a sum of 1400 questions ,, the exam questions pool is huge and I don't think the chances are so promising to find bulcky questions from it in your exam.
