Stats Effect Modification vs Confounding Bias

I know that effect modification is not a bias...however they sound so similar...how do you guys differentiate between the two?

When something is obvious, it's effect modification & when a factor is messing around with both cause & effect & is camouflaged, that's confounding.

Thus confounding can trick you about what's causing what & is thus labelled a bias.

I hope I understand it correctly.
