USMLE Books DSM V study resources

What are people using to study for the Step 1 now that the exam is being changed for the DSM V?

BRS Behavioral Science by Fadem is great but it was published Feb 2013 and doesn't include the DSM V

Kaplan HY still hasn't updated its videos for the DSM V

What other options are there?

Not too sure how helpful this would be, but here's a list of the changes in DSM-5.

Changes from DSM-4 to DSM-5

Also, here's what the DIT chaps had to say about it.

i would not worry about it. as dsm v has just come out recently the questions asked on it will be experimental to gauge difficulty and fairness. then in a couple years when they have it figured out they will count. so just focus on brs behavioral/kaplan behavioral/fa/uworld/etc.

if you really are paranoid though here is a 19 page pdf highlighting the major changes in dsm v: http://www.dsm5.org/Documents/change...to%20dsm-5.pdf

other than reading dsm v (which would be waaaaaay overkill and extremely low yield) this then would be the best bet for you.

also i bet next edition of first aid will also have these changes since it gets updated every year.

but like said earlier just ignore because questions on it will be experimental at least for the next 1-2 yrs

Thanks, I appreciate the help! I hadn't seen that pdf and I agree with what you've written.

I love how in the DIT link you posted they state:

"...the highly-anticipated and long-awaited Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th edition (DSM-5) was release..."

Dunno about you guys but I sure as hell wasn't anticipating it or long awaiting it. As far as I'm concerned I would have loved had it never been made, would make life a lot easier for people studying for the exam lol.

First Aid 2014 seems to have done a okay job of catching up with the revisions.
