Unhappy Still struggling! :(

So, I find that I keep falling into this rut of slow studying for some days & then get depressed (bcoz ive been preparing for too long but its going nowhere), take a break thinking I might be burnt out, but never have the motivation 2 get back to studies! I keep contemplating if I should give up! but since ive been dreaming abt this for almost 3 yrs now I dont want to quit!

Any1 else had similar experience? any tips/advice would be appreciated..

Background:- IMG, been preparing for step 1 officially* from feb 2013!
Finished kaplan videos with adding points to kaplan books+ Goljan audio with transcript
-FA+UW. Done with Beh Sci, Psychiatry, Molecular Cellular biochem, Genetics,Micro & Immuno until now.
Feel like I do not remember anything!!!

[*Also, I had done some prep in 2010 & 2011 but it got interrupted repeatedly coz of personal issues- lost my gpa to Ca., my Dad to an accident & almost lost my sister from a fall & I had to be there for my family!]........
so I generally am in a depressed environment with no way out of it!...... The prometric centre in my city has been shut for usmle since Jan 2013..Sometimes I feel like everything is going against me & maybe I shud change my dream!!

Ooooooops
why to quit
never
I'll tell you my story
IMG , graduated since 2011 , dreamed about USMLE , day & night ,, so i started just little studying , around 10 hrs / week ,,
and i passed through crazy personal issues .. i was about to quit everything ... but then i think that i don't to regret not giving myself the chance to live my dream , so i left my job and family and here am i , living by myself , struggling between reading and the housework !!!
I forgot everything i read back home ,, also everything i read here , i think it's normal !! may be or just i m keeping to tell myself that to feel better ,,
so my friend NO..NEVER GIVE UP ,, u've done very good up to now ,, I m sure u don't want to regret it later

Default 2011 grad…march 2014 score? 256

Graduate 2011..studying since august 2012 with 14 week live kaplan course (was difficult). did not know anything until i started studying in aug 2012. the school i went to does not prepare you for step 1. it prepares u to pass med school. essentially has been relearn the proper way to think about 2 years of medicine again. taking exam in march.
good luck!
