Unhappy Is there any changes in the question type of USMLE step 1

Hi every body,
I am a new member and it is my first post here. I heard that question type of the USMLE step 1 is changed, one of my friend took the test few days ago and he told me that the question is much more difficult than USMLE world question
Did any body took the test in this month I mean in December or November 2013???? Please I need help. My strategy is reading Kaplan, FA, and doing USMLE world .. Is that OK or I have to use other resources???
Any help is appreciated
Thanks in advanced

I am not sure, but one of my friend took the test last Saturday, he told me that his test is not like USMLE world, the pathology and biochemistry parts are so difficult even more than USMLE world....

My fellow classmate wrote it yesterday, she said that the questions felt like both UW and NBME. Some questions str8 forward, some were long and tedious, some she had to narrow down to two choices, and some were just 'wtf' never seen before. She used FA UW pathoma, read FA 7 times, pathoma twice, UW once, and did 3 nbmes...her scores were 204, 218, 228 (in nbme 15)

She said if you know FA, understand it, understand UW, and all nbmes are near your goal, then you will be fine on the exam, but will still leave the exam double minded about questions, and score...which I also believe is the norm compared to others who have written their exam experiences.

ya u are right beta blocker, if FA , UW and uw notes are cemented on hippocampus, then exam will seem like another UW block..

Even if the questions get different (and thus appear more difficult), the question should be if your score changes significantly.
If everybody faces the same difficulties and (as far as I understand they do) they calculate your score by comparing you to the others who take the test (standard deviation etc.), a student who would have gotten a good score half a year ago should still get a good score.
