Help Suture lines v.s. Falx

Epidural hge --> NOT cross suture lines - Cross falx , tentorium

Subdural hge --> Cross suture lines - NOT cross falx,tentorium

Anyone who did neuro would have read this , i don't understand the concept behind it .. anyone please ?

Epidural: Because the dura is tightly adherent to bone at sutures. Since the blood collects between the inner surface of the skull bone and dura it cannot cross the sutures but there in nothing stopping it from spreading over the dura.

Subdural: Because dura forms the falx and tentorium and the blood collects between dura and arachnoid the falx limits the spread of blood to the other side.
