Listening 2nd reading Strategy !!

Hello dears,

I have finished my 1st reading for all books. Now, I'm in stage 2 of my plane, which include (FA + Kaplan Qbank + 2nd reading for all reference books).

Stage 2 seems great, but it will consume more time and efforts. Thus, I'm trying to bypass the 2nd reading of reference books and only read them again if I really need to understand a specific topic and if the FA is not enough.

I tried that with Bio+Genetic and I get 49% correct answers (Only FA 2014 1st time reading) in compared to 57% of other students.

Please, I need your comments on this strategy to support my plane and get a good decision.

Thank you

Hi Jaguar, im in the exact same position as you, im doing kaplan qbank reviewing questions and adding notes with FA and if theres something i dont quite remember or didnt understand it fully i go back and read kaplan LN with MY notes that i wrote on the margins (find myself doing it constantly with physio probably one of my weak areas)
im also stressing and getting frustrated since i dont get the high scores that i would want (i get 60-63% but not higher than that and i started 15 days ago)

a friend of mine told me to chill out not stress about the score, that kaplan qbank is all about reinforcement of topics and reviewing, he said that we should worry about scores in UWORLD not KAPLAN, i personally find myself wondering if i should do a second read to improve my scores also...
if anyone has an advice i will be very grateful..
anyways let me know what did you came up with, good luck my friend!!

are you answerıng questıons subject wise or random mıxed type? ı would recommend to do kaplan qbank subject wised and uworld mıxed random. My method is reading related subjects fırst aid then doing questıons and if i see major error ı read related part of kaplan book again. But ıt takes a lot of tıme you are right. But what i see whıle studyıng ıt is wıthout knowing how to apply just memorising facts will not help ın real usmle questıons so we gotta do that.
