This is a very, very, very common question. Not only among the steps community but in every single big exam study forum. The deal with Step 1 is that there is tons of information you've to cram in your brain, specially if you are choosing to go further than First Aid with a review book (such as Kaplan or any other author) to complement it.

However, there's a solution, but only you can find it. It's all about finding the study method that suits best for you, and there are techniques such as mnemonics, drawings or phrases to make you recall the information. The solution for your problem is to start studying the way you always studied, and if it doesn't work, look for other ways: draw, record yourself then listen, take a sheet of paper and start matching concepts with arrows and so on.

I don't think we can help you here. Only you can. Best of Luck!

Use kaplan as a way to understand the concepts and get the big picture. You dont actually need to memorise kaplan. This is the most important part of your preparation, so take your time. Then use FA to 'byheart' all the facts, because thats what FA is........a big collection of facts.

Kaplan initially , later FA+Uworld
