Default BRS is difficult. Help

Hi guys.. I have started my physio prep with BRS.. It is just so concise and difficult but I heard is so high yield.. Is everybody feeling the same about it??
What do you guys suggest?
I've tried the bigger physiology book by constanzo (same author of BRS), it is well explained and helped me understand what's happening in BRS but it is just lengthy.

Do you think doing Kaplan first will make BRS much easier?

thank you

Wath the kpln vid, then read Kpln txt book, and do questions on each chapter on BRS. I read both books, KPLN rocks!

Brother did you notice a difference in the content? I mean should I do both in order not to miss certain topics that are not covered by Kaplan??

I haven't done Kaplan but I do like constanzo's longer text, and also the cases and problems book which I only recently discovered. I bought BRS and I am not a fan either really but good for essential facts.

If I had Kaplan I'd go over KLN while watching the videos. If you are very stuck on anything then look at dr najeeb's vids- many are on youtube

also I'm guessing there are particular areas you may find easier or harder. so if you find cell phys harder, look at a specific resource for that if it makes no sense elsewhere - I have a very small book by Lange on cell phys. Also a very small vanders renal phys book. cardio and resp I have Lilly and West respectively - find whatever makes it really easy to 'get'

I actually really liked Constanzo's BRS Physio. If you have time, read the bigger version, but it's kind of overkill.

I think the best Physio teacher is Dr. Dunn, and he now works for Becker. Dr. Kudrath always put me to sleep, and Conrad Fischer seems to be on meth.

i think both kaplan and brs sucks but if i had to choose one i would choose kaplan because it is easy to read. I studied physio from first aid and read goljan i think i am fine with physio dont waste your time with kaplan videos because the video lecturers for cardiovascular resp. physio and renal physio are really bad. After i watched kaplan videos, i didnt retain anything more than alredy written in first aid. Of course these are my opinions if you feel very weak watch them but do not expect awesome videos

You won't miss a valuable point by relying on Kaplan, there is no difference. KPL explains even more, and it is attractive to read. You shouldn't go for both w/c takes more time. Just rely on KLN vids, then the notes, and do questions from BRS.

Actually, I just picked up BRS physio again after a long time - I really like it now my knowledge base is higher, you can fly through all the relevant material without dredging through unnecessary stuff. Sorry for my previous comment I really didn't like it a few months back. Suggest watch some videos and then go back to BRS for review if required, it is good and not difficult once you have a good grounding
best of luck
