USMLE Books Read complementary books from cover to cover?

Read complementary books from start to finish? or just the chapters corresponding to the high yield subjects in FA?
I find that reading 10+ complementary books, plus the FA and the Qbanks is too much material to go through. Would i get a more efficient study if i didn't read the complementary books completely from start to finish, but instead just the chapters corresponding to the high yield subjects that are covered in the FA?!?
