Thumbs Up Needs input; I am stuck

Hi

I need important input from you guys who are well oriented than me considering this exam.

Let me introduce myself to all of you. I did my graduation almost TWENTY (20) years ago (yup 2 decades ago) so I am not a fresh student. (vital aspect to keep in mind)

I, recently, have passed “Step 2 CK” with 226 in November 2013.
(I don’t know if this is good or not but considering my age, I tried my best).

I studied Kaplan LNs + Videos and U-word Q-bank. That is it.
My first attempt was a near miss. So I decided to go through the Kaplan Q-Bank later on along with U-World.

PS: I did not study the First Aid for Step 2 CK, not even a single page.

While getting ready for Step 1, I did little browsing here and went through lot of threads regarding different aspects of study methods, books and comparative analysis of different Q-Banks.

This detailed surfing provided me not only very precious information but also CONFUSED me.

I went through Dr. Zum Zum’s method too but time period given in this study schedule is too short for me to go through a subject. For example, only ONE week for Anatomy is almost impossible for me to cover all of its contents. (It is not fault of method. It is me who is taking this exam too late..

My conclusion is :
1,U-World Q-Bank is a must.

2, FA (step 1) is also a Must read; rather needs to be “grilled” 4-6 times

3, BRS Physiology is better but Physiology by Kaplan is also OK.

4, For Pathology, I decided to go with Pathoma (Because I have the book and videos)

5, For other subjects, Kaplan lecture notes are enough along with selective Video lectures.

*****6, Two Q-Banks are preferably better than one and U-World is unequivocally is a MUST.

The other one can be Kaplan or USMLE Rx.

This is where I AM STUCK.

There is divided opinion about or selecting between these two.
One opinion is it is better to take USMLE Rx because it supplements F.A. to get best and max out of it. (First Aid)

For some others, it doesn’t matter, Kaplan is better regardless.
Yet, some folks think Kaplan is, unnecessarily, too much detailed and USMLE Rx is better considering First Aid.

So this is my dilemma what to do?

Kaplan or USMLE Rx and How and When??

Any INPUT would be highly appreciated.
