Default Need advice, please help

I recently scored 217 on NBME 15 and as I'm aiming for 235+ I rescheduled my exam, the new date is 22 April. (2 months from now)

Now I'm in desperate need of advice from someone experienced. What should I do?

I started doing Pathoma + FA + UW Subject-wise. will finish in about 20 days and then will go over FA again without pathoma and this time doing UW random mode.

unfortunately I've already done most of the qusetions from UW, so now it'll be a second pass. should I get kaplan qbank?

in 1 month from now, will write NBME 13 and plan from there.

Please give me suggestions. I have also attached my NBME result

Hey you can do better than a 235.... This is my advice.
You have to go thru kaplan lecture with or without videos for immuno and cardiology respiratory repro and endocrine and goljan for immuno and hematology..... Do the questions for cardiology from uworld again till you have all the concepts figured..... The nbme is a great tool to tell you how to improve so use it well. I reckon with all this and another revision of FA you will get 240+ tc work hard and giid luck

Antiochos just gave me a very nice pieace of advice hope it'll be helpful for you too, here's what he wrote:

Hello! NBMEs are a common cause of demoralization, but hang in there...

Well, your plan seems solid enough, although I have no experience on Pathoma! If you value this resource and think it is worth your time, it probably is.

However, I would advise to purchase another Qbank, most likely Kaplan, if you can afford the extra cost of course. I think it is better than going through UW again, as right now, you will probably remember a lot of UW questions as they'll be pretty recent...so UW can't help you much more at this time. The reason I'd go for a second Qbank is that you will see thousands of new questions, so that you can be tested on important concepts with new scenarios, i.e. from a different angle. Additionally, a new Qbank will point some more concepts that may have eluded you up until now.You can do UW (marked or incorrect questions) at a later time!

I would also suggest doing the Qbank at random, instead of subject-wise. The Step tests all subjects at once, so getting used to it will help you feel prepared for the real deal. It is also more productive to be 'reminded' of subjects almost every day, instead of cramming them over a short period of time and then spending a great deal of days without touching them. I feel subject-wise is better for initial stages of studying, and (maybe) for the last uses of a Qbank, in order to quickly recheck your marked questions on different subjects.

At this point, I would also comment that you need to make a thorough consideration of where your weakest areas lie. Be honest with yourself! In fact, rather than studying FA front-to-back, you could devote more time to weak areas, and comparatively less on stronger ones.
For example, there is no need to linger over thyroid disorders if you feel confident about them - a quick glance should be enough. However, if you feel weak on, say, DM drugs, you could arrange to study them many times over consecutive days, so that they stick better!

And, last but not least, I hope you get the extended edition of NBMEs! It is really helpful to see where your mistakes lay!

That's all I can think of right now...if you have further querries, let me know! Good luck!
