Default NBME 16 to be released on March 3

A new form NBME16 is going to be released on march3,2014. and nbme5 and 6 are going to be discontinued. check nbme site. There will be different performance profiles from now on due to changes in passing step1 scores.

Dr. Albert sorry I didn't find it on their site. Please give the link to that news becos it doesn't seem to be true. I saw something like nbme u in 2015.

I just read it.
It looks like we may have to hit more questions right to be able to score like what someone else did with the old ones.

can't wait to see how the new form is.

Will give us insight into the way they test now, compared to before.

Should be interesting to see.

Also, helpful to those who are taking the exam in these next few months.

Just as an FYI, the new scoring table actually gives you a higher Step score with the same NBME raw score. That is, if you got a 570 on the NBME-- before it translated to a 238, but now it translates to a 243. Hopefully the higher score is reflected in the actual USMLE
