Hi there,

It is very honorable for you to try to find help for your friend. We face this issue all the time with students who can't seem to overcome this same problem. My suggestion would be to have your friend find a study partner. Studying the same topic for a while, then discussing it in detail can really work wonders for many students. Have your friend teach a topic, then have the study partner teach the topic. Doing this is very effective because when someone can teach something, they can rest-assured that they truly know the information - as they have no choice! And if your friend teaches her study partner and forgets or leaves anything out, they can discuss it together. This strategy is highly effective, and although it takes some effort, it is very, very useful and yields results more often than not. We have often recommended this to students who were still in their basic sciences (before even starting to prep for the Step 1), and their grades always improve, significantly.

I hope this helps, and if you or your friend needs any further guidance please feel free to contact us!
