Question Kaplan has no Complement cascades!

I am reading in Kaplan Lecture notes 2008
and I noticed that there's a very superficial mention of the Complement pathways!
What's going on, is that a low yield topic
Is my copy outdated

Please help

The Kaplan Home Study Program Books has a full chapter about the complement with large diagrams showing both pathways.

If your Kaplan notes has no complement pathway then you should go and read about somewhere else, it is a high yield topic no doubt about it.

Warning!

i think u should know what function exactly for each complement .. not the cascade ... itself

C3a & C5a : Chemo-attractant

C3b : Opsonization

C5b & Rest : Killing dependant mechanisms (Membrane attack complex)

and Also The Deficiencies

Default Youtube videos

I really like that Youtube videos that explain complement much better than flowcharts... You still need to know deficiencies though...

Default Thanks!

Thanks for the compliments guys (tee hee - complements...)

If you're looking for good videos, especially for genetics, McGraw Hill has some good stuff for free too. Simple - 2 minutes long and colourful
